Makeup and hair artist, Christine Kohut graduated from the Humber College Fashion Arts Program in the early 90’s. Her work placement took her to an artist agency; from there she started assisting a makeup artist and began her professional career. Christine travelled extensively, working in Madrid for two seasons and Hong Kong for a year and a half where she worked with international clients on fashion and advertising campaigns such as International Herald Tribune, My God Jeans from Italy, Zenith Watches from Switzerland, and Peninsula Hotel's international campaign shot by Annie Liebowitz. One of her favourite settings to shoot is on the beach. She has been flown to sun destinations like Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Canary Islands, Mexico, Barbados, and Los Angeles for various clients. “Work for me has always been fun and enjoyable - providing new challenges all the time”, Christine says. Born in rural Manitoba, her small-town charm still comes across today - always making those she works with feel comfortable and relaxed. With her clean and natural approach to beauty, Christine has become a model and actor favourite. Frequently Christine arrives on set, seeing familiar faces who mention how glad they are to work with her, as they know she will take care to make them look their best. Christine is one of the industry’s most requested makeup and hair artists for television commercials as Pantene, Holt Renfrew, Budweiser, Restalyne and TRESemme. She has worked with many of North America’s top commercial directors. Her celebrity clientele has included Martin Sheen, Michael Douglas, Scott Bakula, Karen Kain, Paul Gross, Lisa Ray, and Greg Kinnear. She has worked for advertising clients as Roots, Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, and Samsung and editorial clients as FASHION, Flare, Elle China, and Glow. |
